Meet the Ramjees :)
Hi there! We're Anil, Breanne and Keegan. We're thrilled that you're here.
Keegan Jelaine Ramjee was born Thursday, August 10, 2017. We quickly realized that Keegan had some health issues - she had low muscle tone and she rarely used the left side of her body. She started physiotherapy at two-months-old then speech, occupational and recreational therapy were eventually added.
Just before Keegan turned one, we got her diagnosis. She had a chromosome deletion and we were told she would never sit up, hold her own cup, feed herself, be potty trained, walk or talk.
Keegan has worked really hard (with the support of her loving friends, family and an incredible medical team of therapists and doctors) and now feeds herself, is potty trained, she pulls herself to stand and uses a communication tablet and digital button to communicate.
On August 12, 2022, Keegan celebrated two years seizure free - her longest stretch ever.
Keegan is in senior kindergarten this year. She absolutely loves music, reading and going to the park. Any day now we think she will walk. We’re so proud!
